Tour 2 - The Problem
It has always felt like our music was capable of more, like something was lacking.
This was especially noticeable in the recording studio. Between the time music is tracked in a studio to the time it exits our speakers at home, the music undergoes a drastic transformation that has baffled musicians and engineers alike.
The sound is never the same at home as it was when recorded live in the studio. The Life and Energy from the live studio performance is somehow missing. It doesn't have the same vibrancy, detail, and general character that It once possessed. But how and Why?
All this time we've been trying to fix the sound at an acoustical level.
EQ's, dampening, foam, bass traps, etc... are all designed to control the sound as it comes out of the speakers.
But the real problem actually exists inside your system, at an electromagnetic level. It works beyond all the different "tweaks and fixes" that we have tried to introduce into our systems to compensate for acoustical issues. And regardless of what kind of upgrades we make, this electromagnetic problem always keeps our systems from ever working to their full potential in delivering sonically accurate musical reproduction.
But what phenomenon is this?
